Daily analysis for Friday June 30th
It is hard to believe that it has been quiet on the blog for almost two years. Writing the blog helps me in my daily routine and does not cost a lot of extra time. It also enforces discipline (which I need...), so publishing here is well spent time. You can (should) expect daily posts unless I get completely tied up with other commitments.
Compared to previous periods of posting on the blog I will utilize trend channels more while I am exploring this concept in more depth. Channels are directly cycles compatible, but I will experiment with alternative ways of drawing channels.
Feel free to let me know if you think that the analysis can be improved.
Correction 20170704: The trend channel I am referring to is on the weekly chart. The bottom is anchored to 20161204 - 20160912 and the parallel to 201700506.

Theta Relaxation
I have started experimenting with brain entrainment, where the underlying concept is that the brain will adapt to external stimuli. So if you play a slow rhythm the brain will also slow down its activity based on the pace of the pulse. You will find brain waves with many different frequencies at a time. Some are relaxing and some can be stressful.
One of my goals is to reduce the beta brainwaves, which are associated with stress and agitation, as being stressed impacts how you perceive reality. Therefore I exported the following sound track:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5933921/Theta%20Relaxation.mp3 (45 minute version)
Never use this sound track when driving a car or performing any task that requires you to be alert!
Brain entrainment is a large research area. If you are interested you can get a short introduction here: http://www.brainwavesblog.com/tag/alpha-brainwave/

- Sit down and relax
- Start listening to the sound track, preferably with head phones.
- Close your eyes
- Focus on the pulsing sound behind the music. The music needs to be loud enough to hear this sound.
- Just notice how you become more and more relaxed.
- Ensure that you listen to the whole sound file, as the last minutes takes you back to an alert state.
For the more curious - here is the brain wave diagram for the session:
